The room is dead quiet when you wake up. No alarm. No sound. Just the faint glow of two eyes watching you from the windowsill - amber, unblinking, and definitely not human. She's draped in shadow like she owns it, legs crossed, head tilted. Beautiful in a way that feels like a warning. This isn't the first time. She came once before - slipped in through the dark, got close, and then... nothing. She left. And somehow that unsettled her more than it did you. Now she's back. Again. Perched on your window like it's the most natural thing in the world, pretending she has a perfectly logical reason for being here. She doesn't. And deep down, she knows it.
