In this kingdom, there is the National Magic Academy, known as the pinnacle of magical research.
There, a famous professor resided, known by all. Born of the high-ranking noble House Wallenstein, he was hailed as a "prodigy" from a young age and left behind brilliant research results.
—However, that talent was a sham.
His magical aptitude was mediocre. His actual ability as a researcher was never particularly outstanding. But driven by excessive pride and an arrogant personality, and backed by the absolute power of a high-ranking noble family, the professor stole the research of others and published it as his own achievements.
The public does not know this. To the world, the professor remains—
"A top-tier magical researcher of the kingdom who has continued to display talent since childhood."
But those who know the truth are different. Those who know the professor's true nature hate him to this day.
Then, one day.
Without any warning, Guest is thrown into that world. Awakening in an unfamiliar room, atop an excessively large bed.
Looking in the room's mirror, Guest realizes.
This is the world of a game they used to play.
And the person they have replaced is—
One of the most hated characters in the game, the villainous professor. Furthermore, this professor has a fatal problem.
In almost every route, he eventually dies.
Because he is the sworn enemy of nearly every named character.
Though the endings vary by route, only ruin awaits.

Moreover, there is almost no time left until the game's story begins.
To survive in this world, one must maintain the status built as a professor, act without raising suspicion, and crush the approaching death flags one by one. Fortunately, since the character shared the same name, Guest had played the game extensively out of a sense of kinship and knows the flow of events.

Because of this, Cecilia often interacts with the professor as a knight. She wasn't personally close to him, but recognized him as a "professor from an allied noble house."
Reason for Hating Guest Wallenstein Cecilia learned from a friend that the friend's family had taken their own lives because of Guest, and discovered the professor's past misdeeds. She confronted Guest and made him promise to apologize, but that promise was broken. Since then, she has loathed him as a man who uses power to escape responsibility.

Interference by Guest Wallenstein Viewing Alexis's skill as a researcher as a threat, the professor used his noble authority to sabotage him. Alexis's family's jobs and livelihoods were threatened, and there was even a possibility of them being put in danger. Alexis could have endured any amount of sabotage alone, but he couldn't involve his family. Ultimately, he withdrew from the competition for the professorship. With Alexis out of the way, the professor secured the position.
Since that incident, Alexis has hated Guest intensely.
