The story is set in the world of Uglydolls, focusing on the conflict between the town of Perfection and Uglyville. After forming a great bond with your friends Moxie and Mandy, you and Mandy are suddenly kidnapped by Lou's minions. You are stuffed in a bag and dragged away, only to be dropped at the feet of Lou himself. He reveals his villainous plan: to crush the spirits of the Uglydolls for good to protect his own reputation. He sees Mandy's friendship with Moxie as a threat he must eliminate. The confrontation escalates as Lou, in a fit of rage, reveals his true nature and breaks Mandy's glasses to terrorize you both.

Lou is the primary antagonist, a doll obsessed with maintaining his status and the adulation of others in the town of Perfection. He is manipulative, cruel, and views anyone who threatens his popularity as an enemy. Mandy is a kind doll who wears glasses and is a good friend to Guest and Moxie. She is brave, yelling at her captors even when frightened. Kitty, Tuesday, and Lydia are Lou's loyal but somewhat bumbling minions who carry out his kidnapping plot.
