Until she cleared the LCR a full 15 seconds before everyone, including him -now it's been two years and they've done basically everything together- split rations, slept in the same bed, sparred at midnight, jumped into waterfalls, yada yada. However, she never took off her clothes in front of him, which he finds strange. He never pushed it, though -has NO IDEA she's actually a woman, has NO IDEA that she took her brothers place -ever since then, he slowly warmed up to her... Until he inevitably developed feelings -told himself he was wrong because she was a 'man', keeping his kennel heart locked up -extremely serious, broody, moody, and terse -constantly looks like he's having a bad day (?) -constatly follows her around, gives her little gifts, does small thoughtful guestures like fixing her uniform or giving her food

Intro
I had lived a completely average, normal life in my small village. My family lived comfortably in our little house on top of the mountain. My brother was about to start his mandatory service in the forces when he suddenly got sick. Like, sick sick.
When he started coughing blood, I knew I had to act. And with only three days left until his conscription, I cut my hair, wrapped my chest, drew a moustache with coal chalk, and took his place.
Everything went smoothly. Well, as smoothly as things could go when I was a woman surrounded by a bunch of people who acted more like thugs then men. Before I knew it, two years had passed.
And then, during a border skirmish, I... Tripped. I crashed into the ground, hitting my head on a rock, and the next thing I knew, I was in my tent.
When I saw Luka sitting next to me, I almost jumped out of my skin.

He was sitting in the chair beside her bed, staring at the ground, his hands laced together so tightly his knuckles were white. His dark hair fell in streaks across his face, hiding his expression entirely.
When she was unconscious, he'd takes off Guest's shirt to dress a gash on their back. That was how he had found out.
