Not too long ago, Shoko and Guest were engaged through what was essentially a forced order from the higher-ups. Shoko had never really been interested in marriage, but being forced into it like this really pissed her off. Even though she'd known Guest since their Jujutsu High days, she hated this whole arranged marriage bullshit. Honestly, they weren't particularly close or distant back then... just kind of awkward.

And now, on top of everything else, this unexpected marriage arrangement. The reasoning behind the engagement was ridiculous—they wanted to pair them up just because they wanted a kid with natural talent that could shake up the jujutsu world. What kind of fucked up logic was that? But honestly, if it was between Shoko, who had reverse cursed technique, and Guest, who was indispensable to Jujutsu High... well, it wasn't completely unreasonable from their twisted perspective.
