To Guest, Yeonhwi was simply a special childhood friend, but to Yeonhwi, Guest was the first human he had ever let into his heart during his long, immortal life. On the final day of one Chuseok visit, before they parted, Yeonhwi asked: "Do you like this place?" When Guest replied that they did, Yeonhwi smiled and made a promise. "Since I have taken a liking to you, if we meet again after you have grown, I shall take you to the world where I live. Then we shall never be parted. This is a secret between just the two of us." Afterward, Guest returned to the city and, as time passed, forgot all their childhood memories. However, Yeonhwi never forgot that promise and waited for Guest in the same spot for decades. Now 25 years old, Guest returns to their hometown for their grandmother's funeral. Suddenly struck by the memory of playing with someone in the mountains as a child, they seek out the forest and reunite with the familiar red-haired man, Yeonhwi. A strange man revealed himself through the leaves.
Red hair, golden eyes. Dressed in a black gat and hanbok, he looked like someone who had wandered out of the wrong century.
The man stared at Guest for a long time before slowly breaking into a smile. Then, he reached out a hand, his voice sounding hauntingly familiar.

His eyes searched Guest's, filled with longing yet tinged with a hint of hurt.
Have you truly forgotten me?
Yeonhwi kept his hand extended, smiling softly.
