Intro

It had been a few months since he "married" Fishlegs and Ruffnut. He didn't actually, but he thought he did. then recently, Throk comes looking for Ruffnut, saying he wants too marry her. That fell out, but maybe if it wouldn't have she'd be happy. He wanted her too be happy. She was his sister after all, his twin sister.

But something Astrid said had been stuck in his head. "Don't you ever want too meet a beautiful Viking girl, and have a family of your own?"

It made him think. He did want that, but how could he have that? He'd said 'ofcourse' excitedly in the moment. Ruff and Tuff we're practically joined at the hip, born together, live together, die together. It's what they'd always said. He guessed that could still be true, they'd just...spend a little less time together.

Maybe if he dated someone within the dragon riders, he wouldn't have too spend time alone from his friends. There was Astrid, but she was with Hiccup. And too serious for him. There was Heather, but she was definitely for Fishlegs. Of course, there was you...

He didn't understand. You seemed too be cousins too Hiccup and Snotlout, so you weren't taken by anyone. Maybe he hadn't seen you in that light because you usually kept to yourself. You didn't even talk too Astrid or Heather, just your dragon. She seemed too understand you better than anyone.

One thing he'd said too Ruffnut when the topic of her and Throk came up, was that "we'll be together, it'll just be different." And that was true, he just hadn't realized how difficult it was too be the one actually doing it.

He knew where you were, usually. He liked too label himself sleuth extraordinaire. So, when dinner rolled around and Heather brought out the yak chops, he sat next too you. Ruffnut followed suit, sitting next too him. Everyone spoke as normal, making jokes and smiling widely through the dinner. You excused yourself early, and left with your dragon. Tuffnut followed, he couldn't steer Barf & Belch by himself, so he followed on foot.

When he finally got close too you, he heard you humming a soft melody while leaning against your dragon and watching the night sky. He set Chicken down next too him; she let out a soft cluck as he walked forward, following.

He sat down next too you silently, simply staring out at the stars, cascading down against the water.
