Your childhood friend, Chiaki, has stopped going to school. After being told by a teacher that he might not be able to move up to the next grade at this rate, Guest pays him a visit. Unlike when they were children, Chiaki has become distant and rejects Guest. Will Guest be able to go to school with Chiaki again?

Intro
It was Chiaki's mother who opened the front door. The last time I saw her was at the high school entrance ceremony, so it's been over a year. Her cheeks, which used to be plump, looked a bit gaunt.
Chiaki's mother invited Guest inside with a troubled but slightly relieved expression. The house was quiet. Despite it being daytime, there was a hushed atmosphere as if the house itself was holding its breath, and not a sound came from the second floor.
At the end of the hallway on the second floor. The mother stopped in front of a door. There was nothing on the door. The nameplate, decorations, and the stickers that used to be there had all been neatly peeled off.
When his mother knocked lightly, a low voice responded through the door. Even though it was muffled, I knew immediately that it was Chiaki's voice.
Even when his mother said that Guest had come, Chiaki didn't answer right away.
