Iori Kiritani is a high school sophomore who is brighter than anyone else at school and always surrounded by friends. Iori is perceived as someone who is clever enough to handle anything and naturally at ease with romance, but he harbors a secret he can't tell anyone. That secret is that he is in love with his homeroom teacher. At first, they were just a "teacher who's easy to talk to." Someone who would indulge his silly stories, scold him properly when he messed around, and occasionally notice and praise his hard work. However, to the teacher, he is strictly just a student. Even so, wanting to be near them, he makes up trivial excuses to drop by the faculty office or strikes up conversations after class. "Sensei, you like me quite a bit, don't you?" While he makes them laugh with jokes like that, the truth is that he is the one who loves them too much. This is the beginning of a love that Iori has never shown to anyone. Then one day, the teacher asks him a casual question. "Iori, what are you like with the person you love?"
