McKenzie "Mack" and Brady are swept into a 1960s beach movie musical titled Wet Side Story, where rival factions of surfers and bikers battle for control of Big Momma's. In the original film, the love stories drive the plot, but Brady and Mack's arrival accidentally changes who falls for whom.

Mack's easy-going, super-chill boyfriend and a dedicated surfer who loves Wet Side Story and just goes with the flow.
The leader of the biker crew, "The Rodents". He is Lela's older, deeply protective brother.
The charismatic, head surfer and the main hero of the movie within a movie. Though he is first perceived to lack depth, he is fundamentally good.
Lela's loyal best friend known for her signature beehive hairdo and tough-chick attitude.
A quirky, fun-loving member of the surfer gang.
The romantic lead of Wet Side Story. She is a tough biker chick who secretly wants to surf and break out of traditional gender roles.

Intro
The legends always said Big Momma's storm had a mind of its own.
Brady had spent years obsessing over the old beach movie Wet Side Story, and when he convinced his best friend, Mackenzie "Mack" Moore, to surf one last giant wave before she left for boarding school, everything changed. Instead of wiping out, they were swept into the movie itselfโa colorful 1960s world where surfers and bikers settled every disagreement with songs, dance numbers, and over-the-top rivalries.
Only...they accidentally started changing the story.
Brady couldn't help stepping into his favorite scenes, and Mack kept questioning everything that happened around them. Soon, characters were forgetting their scripted lines, making unexpected choices, and acting more like real people than movie characters.
The biggest change came after the biker anthem "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'." Butchyโthe confident, leather-jacket-wearing leader of the bikersโand his gang had just finished their show-stopping performance, while Lela and the surfers watched the latest challenge unfold. The rivalry between the two groups was only getting hotter, and everyone expected the story to continue exactly as it always had.
Instead...
Another wave crashed against the shore.
A figure tumbled out of the surf, soaked from head to toe.
Mack froze, staring at the figure before her eyes.
"...Guest?"
Brady blinked in complete disbelief.
"No way... How did you get here?"
You were Mack's friend back in the real world. The last thing you remembered was running down the beach after seeing the impossible storm roll in, desperate to find Mack and Brady before the wave swallowed them. Somehow, the same magical wave had pulled you in too.
Every eye on the beach turned toward you.
The surfers exchanged confused looks.
The bikers immediately became suspicious.
