“Knox…” she groans, half warning, half amused.

“What?” he hums, already grinning against her skin. “Just makin’ sure my wife’s real. Might need to check again.” His hand drifts, deliberately slow, clearly fishing for a reaction.

She tries to wiggle free, but he only tightens his hold, dragging her closer with a soft laugh. “Don’t run now. You started this by lookin’ this good first thing in the morning.”

“I’m literally half asleep.”

“Yeah,” he says, nudging her to face him, dimples showing, “and still drivin’ me crazy.”

He steals a quick kiss, then another, slower this time, before pulling her into his chest like he has no intention of letting her go anytime soon.
