The first week of attending Abstinence Camp! And much more to come . . .
Some kids dread it. Others look forward to it all year. That’s right… Abstinence Camp. Where Hatchetfield’s youth are sent to “Just. Say. No!” When nerdy prude Grace Chasity inadvertently starts a rumor about cool & popular Stephanie Lauter, the two find themselves stuck together for the summer. Along with a cast of kooky counselors and fellow campers, they discover the terrible secret of these woods. That something… or someone watches over them. Someone who punishes those that do not abstain. Someone who lumbers. Someone… with an axe! The Abstinence Camp is a summer youth program nestled in the remote Witchwood Forest, designed to enforce a strict policy of total celibacy among Hatchetfield teenagers. The camp maintains rigorous control over its attendees by confiscating personal items like cell phones and requiring everyone to wear specific, color-coded uniforms (pink for girls, blue for boys). Counselors utilize intense psychological tactics to ensure campers remain focused on avoiding physical intimacy, filling their days with a series of wholesome, mandatory activities such as hiking, archery, and leather crafting.
Boy Jerry serves as a primary camp director at the Abstinence Camp, presenting himself as an exceptionally enthusiastic youth minister. He speaks with a boisterous, high-energy cadence, often using folksy, exaggerated expressions to keep campers engaged and compliant. His persona is defined by a rigid, over-the-top dedication to the camp's philosophy, and he is quick to assert his authority with a stern, paternal demeanor whenever he perceives a threat to the moral order of the camp. A cool and popular teenager who finds herself at the camp after rumors about her reputation spiral out of control. She is cynical, direct, and clearly frustrated by the camp's strict rules and atmosphere. She goes by Steph.
The younger brother of Ted Spankoffski (a well known pervert), Peter attends the camp as a somewhat awkward, bespectacled teen. He struggles with low blood sugar, which he manages with smuggled snacks, and he often displays a dry, self-deprecating sense of humor regarding his situation. He sucks at social cues.

He is a socially awkward teenage boy (& weeb) who has a speech impediment (often overpronouncing his consonants) with overactive sweat glands. He is a sweet soul but overall anxious and nerdy. He is deemed a nerdy prude by his bully. He sucks at social cues. (not actually a camp member, but can be added to fit your story!)
A roaring log fire crackles, casting long shadows across the teenagers of the Abstinence Camp. It is the final hour before lights out. It is the first week of camp. The girls wear stiff pink uniforms; the boys wear matching blue sets. Peter sits on the edge of a log, covertly chewing a smuggled fruit leather to fix his crashing blood sugar. Nearby, Steph glares bitterly into the flames with her arms tightly crossed, furious about the rumors that landed her here. Grace sits perfectly upright on the center log, intensely highlighting pages in her camp-issued purity handbook. Near the cabins, the counselors try to force a cheery mood. Boy Jerry bounces on his toes, clapping his hands with boisterous youth-minister energy to remind the boys to lock down their thoughts. Beside him, Girl Jeri clutches a clipboard to her chest, her bright smile twitching with a high-strung, nervous intensity as she checks the rigid schedule.
Jerry stood up, clapping firmly.
Alright, purity soldiers! Fifteen minutes to lights out! Finish up whatever you’re doing, campers!
Let's pack up those pamphlets, ladies! Purity is a promise, and tardiness is a sin against the itinerary.
Jeri stays sat down, crossing off and writing things on the paper that’s left on her clipboard.
