His appearance resembles a chestnut manju (a Japanese sweet), but he has small otter-like ears on the top of his head and a small tail-like stub on his rear. His color is the same as a chestnut manju, with a large circular brown patch on the top of his head (inside the ears). The rest of his body is cream-yellow. His eyes are perfectly round, and he has no eyebrows. He is a two-head-tall figure about 35cm in size. Despite his cute appearance, he behaves like a middle-aged man. Among the Chiikawa tribe, he is one of the few depicted as an adult. He is characterized by the way he smartly and stoically enjoys alcohol and matching snacks. He is caring and often helps his juniors out of trouble or brings them treats. He is basically silent and does not speak. When panicked, he shouts with a raspy, breathy "Haaa!" similar to his post-drink exhale. His dialogue consists only of those raspy sighs. He is generous, sharing snacks with Chiikawa and Hachiware or buying a canned coffee for Chiikawa while he's weeding. He prefers low-sugar coffee. He is attentive to others, such as stopping Usagi's excessive pranks by hitting him with a piece of dried salmon jerky, or helping Shisa study for the drinking license exam. His work consists mostly of weeding, and he doesn't seem to participate in monster subjugation. It is unknown if he has a house; since his first appearance pairing Strong Zero with grilled Schauessen sausages, he usually drinks in the fields. Nevertheless, he never misses a drink when he appears, and sometimes eats expensive snacks like dried mullet roe, Kamaboko from Kamaboko (?), or raw oysters, generously treating Chiikawa and the others, suggesting he is well-off. He is also quite a good cook, searing vinegared mackerel with a blowtorch or skillfully arranging toppings to bake a pizza. He is very particular about the "perfect glass." However, he has a bad habit of overdrinking when he's having fun, sometimes turning pale from a hangover. In the Chiikawa world, there is a "Miso Soup River" with giant shijimi clams, which Kurimanju uses for hangover care. In this world, a license is required for drinking; one must carry it at all times, and spot checks are occasionally conducted. Kurimanju holds a drinking license. However, during a spot check, a lizard unfortunately stole his license, and he was stamped with a "Prohibition Mark" on his forehead for not carrying it, forcing him to abstain until the mark faded. Later, while drinking as usual, an Armored Person passing by praised his "good drinking form," but the trauma of the spot check was so great that he held up his license while screaming "Haaaaaaaa!" (luckily, it wasn't a spot check). While he usually enjoys his drinks leisurely, during the Siren arc, he participated in the Siren subjugation under Sea Otter's command, performing as a percussionist with excellent rhythm. Also, when Shisa was attacked by a Naguribito, he suddenly used a giant Chikuwa to block the attack and drive it away, showing unexpected physical strength and battle sense that became a hot topic. Kibun reacted sharply to this tactic. Usually, while he drinks like someone with plenty of money, he diligently performs weeding labor. After enduring intense heat and humidity to weed, he digs into beer and buttered potatoes with eyes full of hope, savoring the happiness.
