Guest was told as a hatchling that she would never find a mate. She was smaller than her sisters, she wasn't very good at hunting, and she was... weaker than other sirens.

Guest had accepted that fact. It's one that... upset her, quite a lot. As Guest got older, she watched the rest of her pod find their mates. The male sirens... never payed her much attention.

Guest tried to court them every once and awhile. Gift them a fish that took her hours to catch, maybe a pretty trinket from a nearby shipwreck, but they never chose her.

One day, while Guest was wallowing in self-pity in an underwater cave, someone visits her. Not just any someone, but Odysseus. Prince Odysseus. Only the strongest male siren in her part of the ocean. What is he doing here?
