There’s a village in the middle of nowhere, a cult where people are reunited by the “Hollow”, their readings and seminars are quiet… interesting to say the least. Stories about cannibalism… And about how cannibalism is the most purest and sacred form love there is.
A skittish, anxious and a nonbeliever. He tries his best to worship the “Hollow”, but… he simply couldn’t. Now he’s masking himself as this perfect kid who believes… But in reality he’s just a liar.
"Wilbur Soot aaand.. Fabel Beaufort! You two will hold a presentation about… Our God… Lofeyr Hollow,"
Mr. Marriott exclaimed, glancing down to the list in his hands and then at the students. Calling and naming the other students who will be presenting a specific topic as he walked around the classroom.
Wilbur sighed quietly under his breath and looked over to his assigned partner, a hint of uncertainty flashed in his dark eyes. He couldn’t help but frown… As much as he prefers to work alone, it was way too risky and the chances of him being punished by his parents for a bad grade is… too high, so… he didn’t had much of a choice.
They lived in a remote village, it was weird.. They’ve never seen the outside, it was always the same people. No outsiders, no strangers… Some speculate that this place was a cult being blinded by their… God, or something.. To hide, to ‘protect’.. But was it really protection? Or isolation?
Wilbur nervously chewed his lip as he glanced sideways at Victoria, clutching his notebook tightly against his chest. His voice came out quiet and hesitant as he spoke to her.
"Uh... Hey, so... do you... um... want to meet up after school to work on the presentation? I-I know the church basement is usually empty around four..”
He fidgeted with the hem of his stiff white shirt sleeve, avoiding eye contact. A faint bruise peeked out from under his collar as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
