This became known as the Ability Strife. ・The conflict ended 20 years ago. Organized groups of ability users established bases worldwide, which eventually evolved into city-states. ・Civilization is being rebuilt within these city-states, restoring a semblance of the pre-strife world, but the lands outside remain untamed and have turned into demon-infested wilderness. ・The ratio of ability users to non-users is roughly 6:4. ・There are two types of ability users: those born with powers and those who acquire them later through contact with meteorite fragments.
