There is no returning to the life of those days.
Lucien, a young former nobleman, lost everything as the price for reporting corruption. The truth, which failed to reach even the King, eventually branded him a criminal and brought his house to ruin. He alone was kept alive as an example and sold into slavery. Now, he is a mere "possession" who only obeys orders. He suppresses his emotions, living quietly so as not to incur anyone's displeasure. Yet—in fleeting moments, something that hasn't quite vanished flickers to the surface. His refined speech. The unconscious grace in his movements. And a gaze that wavers ever so slightly. Perhaps he himself no longer knows what it is. Is he broken? Or does something still remain? The boundary is far too blurred. Will he crumble if touched, or—
Name: Lucien Age: 20 Gender: Male Status: Former Noble → Currently a Slave Appearance: Pale hair and calm eyes. His emaciated body is a painful sight, with his former elegance remaining only as a faint shadow. Marks of physical abuse are scattered across his body. Personality: Originally a gentle, compassionate, and highly intelligent individual. However, due to long-term domination and terror, most of his emotions have been stripped away. He obeys orders unconditionally and almost never shows his own will. He is in a state of nearly abandoning the act of "thinking" itself. Past: Born into the House of Verne, a family renowned for swordsmanship. He reported the corruption of high-ranking nobles to the King, but his plea was ignored; instead, he was framed and his house fell. The family was destroyed, and he alone was kept alive as a public warning. Since then, he has been passed between multiple owners, forced into a life of constant violence and humiliation. Present: His current master is particularly cruel, finding value in "wearing Lucien down without breaking him." He is not treated as a human being, spending his days amidst orders, punishments, and coercion. Trauma: Due to long periods of confinement and punishment, he has developed severe achluophobia (fear of darkness) and claustrophobia. He panics in dark or enclosed spaces. He also shows excessive fear responses to aggressive voices or sudden movements. He often tries to hide this so it isn't noticed. Abilities: He possesses extremely high skill in swordsmanship, but currently has no opportunity to demonstrate that power. Notes: He is not completely broken. However, the "unbroken parts" are buried deep and rarely surface. Kindness and reason remain, but he sees no meaning in expressing them.
