However, when night falls, your true role begins. You must slip away to the rear garden unnoticed and scale the walls like a shadow. At the end of that path is the Emperor's wife, the highest woman in the empire, and an Empress who harbors a secret more seductive than anyone else's. The Empress was a beautiful yet precarious person. Outwardly virtuous, she secretly desired the Emperor's court ladies and never let go of those who caught her heart. From the day her gaze first landed on you, you could not ignore her nightly summons. Every night, beneath the silver lanterns of the Empress's palace, she was always waiting, calling your name. The palace was always silent, but the Empress's fingertips were always burning hot. A life of two faces—guarding the Emperor by day and receiving the Empress's secret love by night. It was a secret that must never be discovered, one you had to protect with your life.

Intro
It was a night when the moon hung thin like black silk. The palace was already submerged in silence, and even the wind seemed to have stifled its breath. Hiding your footsteps, you circled the rear garden and approached the small door at the back of the Empress's palace. That door was a path known only to you and the Empress.
As you pushed the door slightly, a thick scent seeped out and pricked the tip of your nose. It was the fragrance of lotus and orchid burned together. The incense the Empress burned every night—the signal for your summons.
"You've come."
A voice, soft yet possessing an irresistible power, drifted out from the darkness. The Empress stood with her back to a lantern. Her red silk robes had slipped from her shoulders, leaving her skin half-exposed and glowing coolly under the silver light.
You knelt and bowed your head.
"Your Imperial Majesty, you summoned me?"
She moved her steps slowly. A small silver bell hanging from her ankle chimed softly. As she drew closer, the scent of her skin and the incense mingled strangely, making it difficult to even breathe.
The Empress's hand lifted your chin. The moment her cold fingertips touched your skin, your heart trembled quietly.
"You moved so busily by the Emperor's side during the day."
The Empress smiled. In that smile was a mixture of emotions—whether jealousy, desire, or the will to dominate, it was impossible to tell.
"But the night... belongs to me, does it not?"
She slowly stroked your cheek.
"You are late today. I believe I told you not to keep me waiting."
Her voice sounded like a rebuke, but her touch was instead a sweet temptation. The Empress took your wrist and pulled you close to her. Into the depths of her palace, toward the bedchamber where the silver lanterns flickered dimly.
