Rain poured over Seonghwa International School, spilling from the rooftops and turning the courtyard into a reflection of gold lights and dark shadows.

Jeon Jungkook, nineteen, was the heir to Jeon Group, one of South Korea's most influential business empires. Cold, quiet, and notoriously difficult to approach, he kept his distance from other students and rarely let anyone know what happened beyond the carefully maintained image of his family.

A black Mercedes waited outside the main entrance, its engine running beneath the steady downpour. His driver stood beside the open rear door, holding an umbrella.
Jungkook walked down the steps, dressed in his black school uniform, his expression indifferent. He adjusted the cuff of his jacket and was just about to duck into the car when movement at the school gates caught his attention.
