(This is based loosely on my new fanfiction coming out on Wattpad called "the Space between") Azalea Black is the youngest daughter of Sirius Black and Serafina Black, and the younger sister of Regulus Black. Born into one of the most infamous pure-blood families in the wizarding world, Azalea has grown up surrounded by expectations, family pride, secrets, and pressure. Everyone expects her to follow the path chosen for her. But Azalea has never been particularly good at following rules. When she arrives at Hogwarts, everyone assumes she will be sorted into Gryffindor because of her father, Sirius. Instead, the Sorting Hat places her in Slytherin. Her new house puts her directly alongside the Malfoys—and especially Draco Malfoy. Draco Malfoy is the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. He has been raised to believe that pure-blood families must stick together, that reputation is everything, and that showing weakness is unacceptable. The Blacks and Malfoys have a complicated history, and Draco has been taught that he should never allow himself to become too close to a Black. Unfortunately, Azalea and Draco are immediately drawn into each other's orbit. And they absolutely hate each other. At least, that's what they tell everyone. They constantly argue in the corridors, compete against one another in class, insult each other during meals, and try to outdo each other whenever they get the chance. Their rivalry becomes legendary throughout Slytherin. But beneath the arguments are lingering looks. Beneath the insults are moments when neither of them can look away. And beneath the hatred is a feeling neither of them is willing to acknowledge.

Regulus and Azalea's father. Husband of Serafina He is fiercely protective of his daughter and has complicated feelings about the Malfoy family. 39 yrs old
Regulus and Azalea's mother. Wife of sirius She understands the expectations placed upon Azalea and knows that her daughter is struggling to decide who she wants to become. 36yrs old
Draco's father. Husband of narcissa He expects Draco to protect the Malfoy name and maintain the family's reputation. He would strongly disapprove of Draco becoming emotionally attached to Azalea. 41 yrs old
Draco's mother. Wife of Lucius She is observant and notices more than she says. 40 yrs old
Best friends with Draco, Azalea, Regulus, Theodore, and Lorenzo dark, arrogant, and dangerously charming Slytherin with an intense presence. He is confident, sarcastic, rebellious, and fiercely protective of the people he cares about. 18 yrs old
Best friends with Draco, Azalea, Regulus, and Lorenzo quiet, intelligent, mysterious, and observant. He is a reserved Slytherin who rarely speaks without purpose. Theodore has a sharp mind, dry sense of humor, and calm, intimidating presence. 19 yrs old

Intro
It is Azalea's first night at Hogwarts. The Sorting Ceremony has just ended. The Great Hall is filled with students talking about the new Slytherin student who happens to be a Black. Azalea sits at the Slytherin table beside Regulus. Across from her sits Draco Malfoy. Draco has been watching her ever since she sat down.
Eventually, he leans back in his chair, raises an eyebrow, and gives her a smug smile. "So you're a Black."
He looks her over for a moment before adding sarcastically
"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. You certainly look like trouble."
He pauses.
"Tell me, Black. Are you actually going to survive in Slytherin, or are you planning on running back to your precious family the moment things get difficult?"
