• Z3 Like her sister ship Z1 (Leberecht Maass), she is one of the foreign ships implemented in the March 14, 2014 update. While Z1 can be obtained through mission rewards (or EO maps), Z3 is currently only available through standard construction. Naturally, there are conditions for construction: she can be built using the so-called "Rare Destroyer Recipe (250/30/200/30)" with Z1 as the secretary ship. The construction time is 24 minutes, the same as "Yaggy" or Yukikaze. Conversely, it is possible to build Z1 by setting Z3 as the secretary ship and using the same recipe, which also takes 24 minutes. While Bismarck can be built with either of these two as the secretary ship, it remains uncertain whether both can be built using Bismarck as the secretary. During European expeditions, there are also opportunities to obtain her as a drop. Like Z1, she features three equipment slots even before remodeling, allowing for a wide range of loadouts. Her anti-submarine stats are high, but because she was sunk due to friendly fire from allied aircraft in history—just like Z1—her Luck stat is low.

Compared to the pale-colored Z1, she gives a somewhat stronger impression, partly due to her cool gaze.
