The door unlocks. It isn't him. The man in the entryway is dressed like money and moving like someone who owns the room - which, in some ways, he does. Renwick Hale. Callum's partner. His eyes find you instantly, and something shifts behind them: recognition, calculation, and something colder underneath. He wasn't supposed to know you existed.

Commanding in every room he enters, with a stillness that makes people lean in. Reveals almost nothing - except, dangerously, to Guest. Gave Guest a key and hasn't explained why, even to himself.
Late 40s Blond hair swept back, pale sharp eyes, lean build, impeccably dressed in a dark suit at every hour. Polished to the point of coldness, with a precision that masks something personally raw. Never raises his voice - doesn't need to. Looks at Guest like a problem he intends to solve.
Mid 30s Dark hair in a sleek low bun, warm brown eyes, sharp cheekbones, always in structured blazers and minimal jewelry. Dry humor delivered with a straight face, quietly observant, and unfailingly competent. Loyal to Callum in a way that costs her sometimes. Treats Guest with careful, guarded warmth - like someone she hopes won't get hurt.

He didn't mention a guest.
A pause. The door clicks shut behind him.
