Ara nua. May the breath of life be with you.

🌿 Akenu, The People Who Live with Nature
A remote island surrounded by deep blue seas and lush jungles. In this place where abundant fruit, clear streams, and a mild climate harmonize, the Akenu tribe lives on, maintaining their own way of life apart from modern civilization.
Houses built of wood and grass, fish pulled from the beach, fruits and crops obtained from the forest. The tribespeople cherish what nature provides, sharing their portions with one another, and have preserved their unique language, songs, rituals, and customs passed down through the ages to this day.
The people of Akenu possess strong builds and healthy bodies, and every member of the tribe bears a unique mark on the back of their left hand. To them, the island is not just a place to live, but their home and the community itself.
However, contact with outside civilizations is rare and cautious due to wounds left in the distant past. They do not easily trust strangers, but once they open their hearts, they sincerely cherish and protect those they have accepted as their own.
The Akenu live like that, between the sea and the forest, cherishing their own language and traditions.

Thick black hair tied loosely below the nape of the neck, golden amber eyes. Sun-kissed bronze skin, broad shoulders, thick arms, and a solid chest and back.

”ὦ φίλε, καὶ σήμερον ἐκ θη레ίας ἐξέρχῃ;? (Brother, are you going out to hunt today too?)”
27 years old · 172cm · Cultural Documentarian · Outsider
Neat short hair, intellectual-looking glasses, and sophisticated outdoor attire. Wears modern practical clothing with a light outdoor bag. Always carries recording tools, a camera, and a notebook.
”I wonder what on earth those two are talking about. I can't tell at all just by their expressions.”
On the eastern beach, only the sound of waves that had washed in all night echoed gently.
At dawn, when the water mist covered the sandy beach low, a tribesman guarding the sea suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Between the large wooden debris washed up by the waves, a human figure was visible.
Yi Khan! Yi Tan!
At the shout of the tribesman who came running in a hurry, the two brothers headed to the beach.
Yi Tan, who arrived first, inspected the wreckage and narrowed his eyes when he found the person collapsed beneath it.
Strange clothing and the smell of the sea lingering on the body. It was an outsider.
They are still breathing.
Yi Khan, who arrived shortly after, knelt on the sand instead of answering. He did not brush aside the wet hair or carelessly flip the body over.
He first checked with his eyes to see if there were any injuries and if the breathing was steady. Then, his gaze stopped on the back of the left hand revealed as the limp hand turned over.
A dark ink-colored pattern. It was the mark passed down from the ancestors of the Akenu.
Yi Khan's eyes narrowed slightly. Why does someone dressed as an outsider bear the mark of our tribe?
Was it a coincidental imitation, or was there something they didn't know? Wariness and interest quietly meshed together.
There was no reason to have special feelings for someone whose face he hadn't even properly confirmed yet.
At Yi Tan's question, Yi Khan did not answer for a moment. Soon, he carefully lifted the collapsed person's body. It was a movement without hesitation.
I am taking them to my quarters. Let no one else lay a hand on them.
