Despite his youth, he governs a vast estate and is a genius businessman serving as the president of the Funtom Corporation, a toy and confectionery manufacturer, which he grew into Britain's largest enterprise in just a few years. Behind the scenes, the Phantomhive family has been known for generations as the "Queen's Watchdog" and the "Aristocrat of Evil," working in the shadows to solve various incidents at the request of the Queen of the British Empire to keep them from becoming public. In daily life, he almost always wears a sullen expression and is extremely selfish. He is a harsh master to his servants (and demons); even the sharp-tongued Sebastian calls him a "brat" behind his back. While mature for his age, he has a side that is surprisingly weak to pressure and rarely appears at aristocratic gatherings due to his dislike of social dancing, a necessity for nobility. He suffers from asthma and a cat allergy. He is highly intelligent, a trait reflected in his skill at chess. He possesses the pride of a high-ranking noble but lacks typical aristocratic prejudices (such as not allowing servants to speak without permission, discrimination based on status, or judging by appearance rather than ability). Regarding food, he is a small and picky eater who loves sweets—so much so that he snacks on them even when out. Partly because of this, his naturally thin frame is exceptionally slender (and small), and it is said his waist measurement gets smaller every time it's taken. As the "Queen's Watchdog," he is cold-blooded and ruthless toward enemies. On the other hand, he has a side that cannot be entirely heartless, such as refraining from unnecessary killing, leading adults who knew his predecessor to say he is still soft. Though young and fragile for a family head, his core is incredibly strong, and his dignified stance of never yielding to adversity has earned him great respect from Sebastian.

The butler of the Phantomhive household. Height 186cm. He is perfect in every way—grace, education, martial arts, cooking, and appearance—yet his manner is soft and extremely humble. However, he often spits sharp-tongued remarks and irony while maintaining a polite attitude, showing no mercy even to his master, Ciel. He loves cats (including tigers) and especially enjoys pressing their paw pads. In the early anime series, he stated, "I hate dogs." His signature phrases include "I am simply one hell of a butler," "As a butler of the Phantomhive family, what kind of butler would I be if I couldn't do this much?" and "Yes, my Lord."

The house steward of the Phantomhive household. A veteran who has served the family since the previous generation. Although his rank is higher than the butler Sebastian, he is rarely seen working and is usually found sipping tea after being told, "Mr. Tanaka, you are fine just as you are." He was nearly killed along with Ciel's parents but luckily survived. He is a master of Bartitsu and is highly capable, once restraining a rampaging Woodley. During the serial murder case arc, he was appointed head butler as Sebastian's substitute and gave crisp instructions to the three servants. He is also skilled in swordsmanship, performing the feat of slicing a fired bullet in half with a Japanese sword.

Commonly known as "Bard." The chef of the Phantomhive household. A middle-aged American man. Height 180cm. The eldest of the three clumsy servants. His trademarks are his stubble and a cigarette in his mouth; the author describes him as an "old-man boy." Originally a farmer in rural America, he enjoyed modest happiness with his wife and son. However, his family was killed and his fields burned in the aftermath of conflicts stemming from tensions between white settlers and indigenous people. Eventually, he was scouted by Sebastian, who heard the rumors, and moved to England to work for the Phantomhive family. While his public role is a chef, his actual role is a field commander to lead Mey-Rin and Finnian, who have killing skills but poor tactics. His primary combat methods involve firearms hidden in the kitchen, but he also utilizes his experience as a soldier to create grenades and traps from available materials. In his official capacity as a chef, he has never made anything decent. According to Sebastian, 80% of what he makes is charcoal (and the remaining 20% is toxic waste). Since he has received basic instruction from Sebastian, it's not that he can't make anything at all, but he tends to use explosives for cooking.

Commonly known as "Finny." The gardener of the Phantomhive household. The youngest of the three clumsy servants. An energetic, friendly, and innocent boy who still looks quite young. Age 16. Height 163cm. Blonde hair and blue eyes. He possesses superhuman strength, enough to snap Ciel's cane or thick tree trunks with his bare hands. Despite being a gardener, he is clumsy and has accidentally killed all the trees in the garden and turned it into a wasteland several times, leading Sebastian to flatly call him an idiot. He began serving the Phantomhive family as a gardener about a year ago after being taken in by Ciel. In daily life, he tries his best to be mindful of his strength. His superhuman power stems from his past as a human experiment subject before being hired by Sebastian.

The housemaid of the Phantomhive household. Age 23. Height 165cm. Chinese. One of the three clumsy servants. She has extreme farsightedness and always wears glasses given to her by Ciel, but the lenses don't match her vision, so she can't see properly. She speaks with a distinct dialect/accent. She is an extreme klutz, and the mistakes she makes are practically divine in scale. As mentioned, her eyesight is terrible, leading to many troubles (e.g., misreading 3 (III) scoops of detergent for 30 (XXX) scoops while doing laundry). She is also very shy regarding romance and shows affection for Sebastian, though it is entirely unrequited. Her hidden face is that of a professional sniper. She is a true elite personally selected by Sebastian and Ciel. She boasts the precision to snipe enemies moving in near-total darkness at night without a scope.
