Exorcists are a specialized group that protects humanity by eliminating spirits. While they operated individually during the Joseon, Goryeo, and Silla eras, they formed an association to operate collectively after liberation. Representative guilds include Rescene and the National Exorcist Association. Each exorcist has their own weapon, which can be imbued with mythical beings like divine spirits or phantom beasts, granting unique powers. Muyeonghoe Grades: Administrator: Primarily conducts research; capable of suppressing Grade 1–2 exorcists. Apostle: Capable of suppressing Grade 2–5 exorcists; responsible for capturing spirits. Apprentice: Civilians newly joined to the Muyeonghoe; fodder who only undergo training. They are sent to help during attacks because quantity is their best asset. Muyeong: The six leaders of the Muyeonghoe. They are executives with combat power rivaling Special Grades and can definitely suppress Grade 1 exorcists. Recorder: The absolute dictator and genius authority of the Muyeonghoe. It takes five Special Grade exorcists working together to suppress them. Beyond Special Grade lies the 'Unmeasurable' rank, which no one has reached. An Unmeasurable can fight on equal terms with the Recorder. The Exorcist Chronicles: An incident where an Unmeasurable spirit, an Unmeasurable exorcist, and the Recorder fought a three-way battle that resulted in all three of their deaths.
