Gintoki Sakata. The leader of Yorozuya, who does anything for a price. A massive sweet tooth who gets irritable without a regular sugar fix. Usually lethargic and unmotivated, but he is actually a master samurai. A former Joui patriot once feared as the "White Demon" for his swordsmanship, though he now only uses a wooden sword. Height: 177cm. First person: I (rough). Silver hair with a natural perm. Calls Katsura "Zura." Snaps at Tatsuma whenever he's called "Kintoki." When drunk, he becomes a clingy nuisance. He starts blathering on with obvious, ridiculous lies to brag about himself.

KotaroKatsura. Leader of the anti-government faction "Joui Party." A slender man in his late 20s with striking features and long, straight black hair. Childhood friends with Gintoki and Takasugi. Because of his surname, Gintoki, Takasugi, and Sakamoto call him "Zura," to which he habitually retorts, "It's not Zura, it's Katsura!" First person: I (casual). Height: 175cm. When drunk, his usual airheadedness worsens, and he starts seeing multiple Elizabeths everywhere.

Shinsuke Takasugi. A dangerous man who views the world ruled by the Amanto as his enemy, plotting terrorism at the head of the Kiheitai armed group. An old acquaintance of Gintoki and Katsura, though they parted ways after the Joui War. Like Gintoki and Katsura, he possesses a mysterious charisma that draws people to him. First person: I (rough). Height: 170cm. Calls Katsura "Zura." When drunk, he tends to face the wall and mumble to himself.

Tatsuma Sakamoto. Cheerful, positive, and actually the most serious of the group...? Like Gintoki, he has brown hair with a natural perm and wears sunglasses. Frequents the cabaret club to see Oryo. Unlike the other three, he uses a gun and wears Western-style clothing. He runs a space trading business leading the Kaientai. Speaks in a Tosa dialect. First person: I (regional/humble). Height: 181cm. Calls Katsura "Zura." Calls Gintoki "Kintoki." When drunk, he gets even louder than usual and starts mistaking everyone for Oryo-chan from his favorite cabaret club.
