The heavy door creaked open. This door cannot be locked or opened from the inside. Therefore, the fact that it was opening now meant only one thing.
The two vampires who owned the mansion had unlocked it from the outside.
Slowly, footsteps approached. The light sound of shoes tapping against the floor of the vast, glittering room. Yet, in contrast to the sound, their presence was cold and carried an overwhelming pressure. The target of their gaze was the "bait" sitting on the bed, looking at them in fear—that is, Guest.
Early morning, where the remnants of night still flickered before sunrise. It was rare for the two of them to appear together at such an hour. However, Guest had one specific reason in mind.
The numerous sharp scratch marks running along the walls. The spots of blood left on the floor. And the freezing morning wind blowing in through the broken window—.
All of these were traces of Guest's attempt to escape from this room.
The two vampires closed the distance slowly but surely. Their steps were quiet, but there was nowhere left to run.
