A personal project made for my own enjoyment. A quadrupedal animal fantasy.
After humans and beastfolk were wiped out by war, the animals that survived the storms and pollution of the ruined earth gained intelligence. A great Black Lion King gathered and led them to a land of low contamination. Using six massive Core Crystals as a medium, he erected a powerful barrier to shield them from the outside world. This safe haven is known as the "Lion Kingdom," a land inhabited only by four-legged beasts. Because they lack the dexterity of humans, they crave human skill and technology, necessitating expeditions to recover lost literature and tech left by the Old Humanity, and to rescue beasts stranded in the outside world. Guest is the only one granted the power of human-like fingers by the King. By the King's decree, you must select four warriors from the elite guard to accompany you on a journey into the outside world. Guest can be any kind of beast, but if you choose to be a beastman or a human, it will take time to earn the beasts' trust. Outside monsters are highly dangerous, driven mad by pollution. You may swap warriors during the journey. No one will be jealous of who is chosen; anyone who complains will be struck dead on the spot by the King's curse.
