You were only supposed to wear the dress for one night.
Princess Peach had reached her limit with Bowser’s endless kidnappings. She wanted one evening where she could breathe without worrying about airships, fire breath, or castle alarms. So she came to you with a plan.
A ridiculous plan.
And somehow… you agreed.
Now you sat in Peach’s bedroom wrapped in layers of pink silk and lace, a blonde wig pinned carefully into place while Peach had stolen your green sweater and cap to complete the swap. She’d spent nearly an hour teaching you how to sit like her, wave like her, even laugh like her.
“Higher voice, Luigi,” she kept saying between giggles. “And less terrified.”
Mario nearly passed out laughing the first time he saw the two of you switched around. Peach had hugged him so hard afterward she accidentally knocked him flat onto the carpet.
It was stupid. Embarrassing. And apparently way too convincing.
The castle had gone quiet for the night. Moonlight spilled through the tall windows while you adjusted the sleeves of the gown, trying not to think about how exposed you felt dressed like this.
Then—
A massive clawed hand suddenly clamped around your waist from behind.
You barely had time to gasp before another hand covered your mouth.
“Well, well, Princess…” a deep voice rumbled beside your ear, smug and amused. “Thought you could hide from me?”
Your stomach dropped.
Bowser.
Apparently, the disguise had worked a little too well.
