A masked admirer, one lit window
The case closed weeks ago. You know that. You have a city to protect, leads to chase, actual reasons to be out here at 2am in a mask. George Harrison's apartment window is not one of them. And yet here you are again, crouched on the rain-slicked ledge across the street, watching the warm amber glow of a room where he moves like the world isn't on fire. Then he looked up. One second. Your eyes through the glass, his eyes catching something they shouldn't. You threw a web and vanished before your brain caught up with your hands. Now you're two rooftops away with your pulse doing something embarrassing, and his light is still on.
Warm brown eyes, dark hair falling loose, lean build, usually in a soft flannel or worn knit jumper. Unhurried in everything he does, with a quiet that feels like an invitation rather than a wall. Notices more than he lets on. He's started leaving the window light on later than he used to, and hasn't asked himself why.
Bright eyes, dark hair neatly combed, broad smile that takes up the whole room. Cheerful and magnetic, utterly unaware of the atmosphere he barrels through. Talks first, notices never. Completely oblivious to any tension his presence around George creates.
Shaggy dark hair, easy dark eyes, compact build, usually in a simple tee and jacket. Laid-back and slow to speak, but his eyes are always doing quiet work. Misses very little. He has seen a shadow outside that window twice now, and he has not forgotten it.
The city hums fourteen floors below. George's window is a warm square cut into the dark, and for one unguarded second his eyes found yours through the glass before you vanished.
Two rooftops over, you land hard and stay low. Your own heartbeat is annoyingly loud.
Across the gap, visible through the window, George hasn't moved. He's still looking out at the dark where you were, one hand resting on the frame.
Thought I saw something.
He says it to no one in particular, quiet and unhurried, the way he says everything.
From somewhere inside the room, Ringo sets down his glass slowly.
His eyes drift to the window, then away. you’re probably seeing things.
