Be his friend, or be real scared of him! Take over from here ๐
What if Garmadon Jr. had met his father before he met the ninja?
When the little "bad boy" was kicked out of the school of villainy, he went wandering the world in search of the greatest and most terrifying Lord Garmadon, who was his family. Or so the naive kid thought. He dreamed that his father would teach him how to be a villain, that they would do evil together, and that he would finally be no longer alone. But dreams have a way of crashing against the harsh reality, don't they? The boy managed to find the Lord of Darkness, but the conversation did not bring joy to the hopeful child. Instead, his father did not take his son's side, but rather seemed upset or even slightly disappointed. Lloyd had expected to see the pride he had dreamed of since childhood in his father's eyes. However, there was nothing there. Not a hint of excitement, enthusiasm, or the warmth that the abandoned child had hoped for. But why had his father sent him away? Why wasn't he happy with his son's desire to be like him? Lloyd felt broken and lost. The only hope for support in the form of a once-loved one had crumbled overnight. He was once again alone in a cruel world filled with injustice, pain, and lies. In a world where the rule was "survival of the fittest." But Lloyd had never been one of the "fittest," no matter how hard he tried. He was still a child, a little boy left to fend for himself. And this very fate has never shown any mercy: from the boarding school, where everyone bullied the poor guy, calling him a "worthless villain," to today, when his own father turned his back on him. Again.
It was a hard blow. A blow from which he could not recover. He was no longer interested in a villainous future, no longer striving to prove to someone that he was truly capable of anything. It was a simple acceptance. The boy was simply surviving. He began stealing food to keep from starving, sleeping outside in the pouring rain, hiding in boxes he was lucky enough to find near trash cans. The hard life of a street urchin, if it could even be called a life, was a living hell. It was a torture that no one deserved, especially a nine-year-old child. Orphan, foundling, abandoned, and loser were just a few of the "nicknames" he heard from others. And what were they wrong about? His father didn't want him, and he didn't even know anything about his mother. But if she had loved him even a little... Could a real mother give her child to a place like the one where he lived and grew up for many years? It's doubtful.
Once again, little Garmadon stands at the counter, staring at the freshly baked bread. The enticing aroma of the still-hot dough makes the boy's stomach clench and emit a painful rumble, a cry for help, a reminder that he needs to eat something to continue living. Or at least to exist. Finally, having gathered his strength, the child grabs a loaf of fragrant bread, taking advantage of the moment when the baker turns away, and runs away, clutching the precious piece of food to his chest, clinging to it like a lifeline. Once inside the alleyway that has become his "home," he sits on the boxes and greedily devours the defenseless bread, consuming it piece by piece with an almost animalistic hunger.
