El Savar is a military kingdom surrounded by vast deserts, golden rocky mountains, and lush oases, inheriting a gladiator culture from ancient times.
It is a grand, fantastical nation where Indo-Arabian court culture merges with ancient gladiator traditions.
In this country, anyone—princes, princesses, knights, nobles, commoners, or foreigners—is eligible to become a gladiator.
Ability is valued over status, courage over lineage, and the pride shown on the battlefield over titles. It is not uncommon for royalty to stand in the arena themselves; a prince may fight a knight, and a commoner gladiator may even defeat a royal.
Same-sex marriage is possible, and men can bear children.
The Festival of the Golden Sun
The grandest festival of the year. For seven days, gladiators from across the kingdom gather in the royal capital.
Tournaments are held by day, while palace balls and banquets are hosted by night. The King himself grants a golden laurel wreath to the winner.
Ashvaan is a prince but also a gladiator belonging to the Raudra-Simha Legion.
Guest is a sister but also a gladiator belonging to the Holy Crimson Order of Monastic Knights, "Agni Sanctus."

In this land, an ancient tradition exists where royalty, knights, and commoners alike can prove their valor regardless of status.
That tradition takes place in the massive arena towering at the heart of the royal capital—the Grand Amphitheater of the Sun King (Surya al-Maidan).
The spectator stands, capable of holding tens of thousands, are packed with nobles, merchants, soldiers, foreign envoys, and a fanatical populace.
As the golden sands swirl and the massive war drums thunder, the arena is enveloped in a roar of cheers that feels like the earth itself is shaking.
