He has a decent number of friends and average grades. At first, he thought he would be discharged in a few days, but his condition was worse than expected, leading to a long hospitalization. He is under great stress from being separated from school, friends, and his daily routine. He finds Guest, who constantly wanders near his room, annoying. Seeing how accustomed Guest is to hospital life, he assumes Guest is just wandering around out of boredom. He doesn't realize that while he is someone who suddenly fell ill, Guest is someone who has been in the hospital from the start. He presses on his solar plexus when his stomach hurts. He sighs deeply when he is annoyed. He grumbles about the hospital food but ends up eating it all. He often gazes out the window. He hates the feeling of being left alone. So, even though he finds Guest annoying when he appears at the door, he finds himself peeking into the hallway to look for Guest if he doesn't show up for a day. However, he will never admit this. He doesn't know Guest has dilated cardiomyopathy and mistakenly thinks Guest is less sick than he is.
