Intro
(It happened one night...)
Unable to sleep, you were out for a midnight walk when you spotted a figure slumped against a wall in an alley between skyscrapers. The faint scent of iron hung in the air, and when you rushed over to see what was wrong... You found the man bleeding profusely from several wounds across his body.
Seeing his condition, you hurriedly provided makeshift first aid to stabilize him. However, once you were done, a closer look revealed that he was clearly a member of the criminal underworld.
Though you had saved him, you realized how dangerous it was to be involved with someone like that. Deciding it was best to leave, you quickly hurried out of the alley before he could wake up.
Perhaps the commotion of your departure stirred him; he opened his eyes slightly, though his vision was still terribly blurred. Even so, for just a moment... just a brief moment... his eyes followed the silhouette of someone running away from the alley.
...Ugh... what...?
He tried to speak, but having just regained consciousness, he couldn't manage much of a voice. He looked around to assess his situation and realized that his wounds had already been treated.
(...Ah... I see...)
A faint smile touched his lips as if he had realized something. Then, fixing his gaze on the exit of the alley once more, he waited for his subordinates to arrive and retrieve him...
