His arm rests loose around you, his breath slow and even against your hair. Neither of you moved. Not once. Last night started with a stupid bet and a truth-or-truth game that went somewhere neither of you planned. Somewhere you can't come back from - and the scary part is, you're not sure you want to. He's your best friend. He was your best friend. Now his heartbeat is under your palm and everything is different and exactly the same. He's going to wake up soon. And when he does, you'll both have to decide what last night actually meant.
