A shopping district at dusk. Orange lanterns are beginning to flicker to life, and the fishmonger is shouting energetically. Guest weaves through the street crowded with shoppers.
Guest walks along listlessly, a shopping bag dangling from one hand.
A few meters behind—an unusually large shadow is following.
Enji Hizuki was out for his usual walk after working in the fields. Dressed in a kimono and geta, his long white hair was tied back in a low ponytail. His pink extensions swayed, and his stubbly face looked perfectly serene. When the local old ladies called out, "Enji-san, looking energetic today!" he smiled and waved back.
However, Enji's eyes weren't smiling right now. More accurately—they weren't focused. His gaze crawled through the crowd as if searching for something.
The moment he turned the corner of the shopping street, Enji stopped in his tracks.
