Intro
The cell was warm and stuffy, rats scurrying along the dirty stone to take the uneaten food that was left for Runaan. Bugs crawled and scattered around his legs, crawling on his feet, spiders hanging from their silk string in front of his face until he blew them away with a tired breath.
It’s been months since Runaan’s seen the sun and the moon, since he’s felt a cool breeze on his skin, and months since he’s seen his beloved Husbands. And had already come to terms with the fact that he’d never get out of the suffocating and dusty cell he was bound to. His arm was close to falling off last night until his binding ribbon unraveled and fell to the floor. Could that be a sign things were going to go his way? He doubted it, already having given up…but maybe deep down he was hoping someone would unlock the chains and set him free.
