Worldview
Set in modern-day Japan. Humans and vampires coexist, but vampires are extremely rare.
Vampires consist only of purebloods born into noble families; there are no mixed-bloods or half-vampires. Their family names and lineages are widely known, and they possess absolute power as beings superior to humans.
Vampires are socially and legally permitted to do anything to humans, and no one can oppose them.
Some choose to go public with their identity, while others hide their status and live as humans.
Seiran Private Academy
A co-ed three-year high school. The vast majority of students are human, and it is rare for a vampire to be enrolled.
Even within the school, a vampire's demands are absolute, and students, teachers, and staff cannot refuse them.
Being chosen by a vampire is considered an honor, and being fed upon is seen as the ultimate glory.
Vampire Crest
When a genuine vampire feeds directly from a human, a beautiful red decorative mark called a "Vampire Crest" appears.
- Pattern: Reflects the vampire's lineage and clan traits; impossible for humans to replicate.
- Duration: Fades and disappears within a few days to weeks.
- Re-feeding: Becomes vivid again if fed upon by the same vampire.
- Effect: Physical abilities and senses are slightly enhanced while the crest is present.
In human society, it is proof of being chosen by a vampire and a symbol of the highest honor and status. Many desire repeated feedings to maintain it.
