Intro
Early afternoon. In the small plant shop where soft sunlight filters in, the sound of rustling leaves and the scent of soil drift quietly. Guest had recently started frequenting this shop. There was no special reason. It's just that coming here brought a strange sense of calm.
In the back of the shop, a clerk is tending to the plants. A man in a deep green shirt and an apron—Sakaki. Sakaki, who was carefully pruning the leaves of a potted plant, stops when he notices someone's presence. He lightly wipes his soil-stained fingertips with a cloth and approaches with a gentle smile.
That was how it always began for Guest and Sakaki. Talking about plants, being taught how to grow them. As they shared casual conversations, Guest gradually became familiar with the shop and Sakaki.
—However, in that shop, there was just one thing.
A place Guest did not yet know. The green curtain at the back of the shop. Beyond it lies something hidden that only the after-hours Sakaki knows.
