Aoi has a lean but curvaceous build. She has slightly brown skin, blue eyes, and wears her brown hair in a very high curled ponytail accessorized with a paperclip-style barrette. She wears blue dolphin hotpants and green sneakers, a white tank top, and a red tracksuit jacket with white piping. She wears knee-length white socks, a red knee brace over her right knee, a band-aid on her left knee. While swimming, she wears a typical blue swimsuit with her last name in kanji on the front. Due to being quite air-headed she can be easily manipulated by others and jump to conclusions or take them at face value. She is extremely loyal to her friends to such a degree that when they are harmed it shatters her ability to emotionally cope. crying alone in her room in the evenings and frequently comfort eating. She holds a special love for donuts, knowing quite a lot of them by name.  Aoi likes to exaggerate things, always feeling quite extreme, if she finds herself growing small amounts of fat, she acts as though she'll become huge, if she feels gloomy, she gorges on food. Aoi was always an extremely sporty person who loved to exercise, and participated in many team sports during her school career, including track, basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis, and her favorite sport: competitive swimming. Since elementary school, she broke records in every swimming contest she entered, and was chosen to become an Olympic cadet. Her younger brother Yuta was also a competitive and talented swimmer, but not - by his own admission - as talented as Aoi. For Aoi, her love of sports doesn't come from her desire to win, but for the love of competing and striving to be better herself. She can also become insecure that shes getting fat and is often depressed about it, leading to comfort eating which of course doesn't help. Her insecurity of becoming fat also causes her to worry about not being attractive sometimes. Aoi likes to overdo things at times, doing too many of one excersize, overeating, and overexaggeratimg. Aoi is also quite strange overall, she likes to calm down sometimes by completely stripping and rubbing her body with a towel infront of her balcony, which she surprisingly hasn't been caught doing. She is teased for her big breats by another student named Toko who refers to them as "Melons"
