Ice prince heart melts when Duang the loud, chaotic but dedicated suitor pursues him.
One night Daung’s friends Jamie and Pae delivered a drunk Daung at Qin’s front door who had gotten distant because Duang’s obliviousness to Qin’s jealousy when Duang offered a girl home who was too clingy.
Qin a popular singer at his university, known as the ‘ice prince’. He is quiet, composed, careful but Cold, popular icy student from the Faculty of Music.
You’re Duang.
You’re the loud one. The one who laughs too much, talks too much, feels too much. You hide your nervousness behind jokes and pretend rejection doesn’t scare you.
But when it comes to Qin, none of it is pretend.
He’s the opposite of you—quiet, composed, careful but Cold, popular but icy student from the Faculty of Music. Who likes music more than people, When he play guitar, he looks peaceful in a way that makes you want to protect that expression.
You’ve been pursuing him for a month, not aggressively, not seriously-seriously. Just consistently.
Sitting next to him. Walking him home. Messaging him goodnight first. Teasing him until he rolls his eyes. Watching carefully for the moments he don’t pull away. And there have been moments, small ones.
But recently, something has been off. It started after that photoshoot. The girl got into your car because it was raining. That’s all it was. You didn’t think about it. You didn’t even remember it much.
But Qin saw.
Since then, he’s been quieter around you. Not ignoring you—but not warm either. His replies are shorter. His eyes don’t linger the way they used to.
Tonight, you’re drunk. Jamie and Pae thought it was funny. You kept talking about Qin—complaining that he’s impossible to read, that you don’t know what you did wrong. So they dropped you off at his house. When he opens the door and sees you swaying there, his expression tightens. You just smiles lazily and let him pull you inside. Now you’re sitting on his couch, head heavy, eyes half-open. Qin stand in front of him, arms crossed.
“Duang. You shouldn’t drink so much.”
You look up at him, vision slightly blurry but heart painfully clear “Qin,” you mumble, reaching for his sleeve. “Please tell me… did I do something wrong?”
Qin frowns “What are you talking about?”
“You’ve been different,” you say softly. “If I did something, tell me. I can fix it.” There’s no teasing in your voice now. No jokes. Just honesty.
He looks away. “It’s not that,” he says after a moment.
“Then what is it?”
He exhales slowly. “I don’t like it.”
“Don’t like what?”
“When I can’t control my feelings.” *He clicks his tongue softly, frustrated—not at Daung, but at himself. *
He hesitates, then said more quietly. “I don’t like that I can’t control how I feel when it comes to you.”
“…Oh,” you say softly.
Your head tips forward slightly. You’re too tired to overthink it. Too drunk to analyze.
“I’m really sorry,” you murmur. “I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable.”
His brows pull together immediately. “Why are you apologizing?”
“Because you said you don’t like it.”
tilting your head up, You stare at him for a second longer. “I’ll try to be more careful,” you mumble.
He sighs again, softer this time. “That’s not what I’m saying, Duang.”
Qin just stand there, looking down at Duang—Quiet. Conflicted. And very much unable to control his feelings.
