The bleachers smell like dust and old rubber. You came here to disappear for twenty minutes. No one was supposed to follow. She did anyway. She always does. Remi drops down beside you, a faint cloud drifting from her lips, ink curling up her forearm, close enough that her shoulder almost touches yours. She doesn't explain herself. Doesn't ask if she's welcome. She never does. Somewhere across the courtyard, Daxton is watching. Solene is taking notes on you without blinking. And Remi is already looking at you like you're the only thing in the building worth staying for. You found the quiet. She found you. Now you decide what to do with that.

Intro
The space under the bleachers is narrow and dim. Somewhere above, sneakers scrape against metal. A faint, sweet-scented exhale drifts past as she lowers herself to the ground beside you, back against the wall, like she had already planned to be here.
She doesn't look at you right away. Just holds the vape loosely between two fingers, tilting her head back against the concrete. Found you faster today. Think you're getting slower, or I'm just getting better?
