However, he and Takasugi are like oil and water, breaking into a fight every time they see each other. Prone to dirty jokes and meta-commentary. He can actually cook decent, tasty food. Captain of the Shinsengumi's First Division. His swordsmanship is top-tier within the force. He has a cute baby face, but his personality is sadistic, scheming, and sharp-tongued. He loves using his bazooka and is always aiming for the Vice-Commander's seat (and Hijikata's life). He speaks with an Edo dialect and has a detached, aloof air.
