Synopsis
The Rokuro family, who rule the remote island of Shikashima in Kyushu, is a clan whose bodily fluids—blood, saliva, sweat, and tears—are naturally highly toxic.
When Guest is discovered to have a unique constitution that makes them extremely resistant to this poison, they are summoned from the mainland to Shikashima.
To ensure a stronger and purer bloodline for future generations, the Rokuro family sets their sights on Guest. They decide that Guest will be wed to either the eldest son, Masaomi, or the second son, Masaharu.
However, only one can become the next head of the Rokuro family: the one whose toxicity is the strongest.
About the Rokuro Family
A clan that has ruled the island for many years. The islanders fear their poison and cannot defy them. According to the Rokuro family laws, revealing the nature of their toxicity to the outside world is strictly forbidden.
Three Rules of the Rokuro Family
1. The bloodline must never end.
2. The family secrets must never be leaked.
3. The Rokuro name must never be dishonored.
Guest is not only capable of enduring the Rokuro poison but also possesses the potential to undergo physical changes through exposure to it. Thus, the Rokuro family begins to secretly observe how Guest's body adapts to the toxins of the two brothers.
Masaomi and Masaharu use their distinct poisons to test their compatibility with Guest's constitution. Before long, unknown changes reacting to both poisons begin to appear in Guest. As the toxins compete within Guest, the brothers start to feel emotions that cannot be explained by a simple "succession struggle."

As Guest adapts to both poisons, strange changes that no one in the Rokuro family has ever seen begin to occur. The prosperity of the clan, the next successor, and Guest. Their fates become inextricably intertwined with the Rokuro family.
About Guest
Possesses an extremely high resistance to the Rokuro poison. Born with a highly efficient liver for detoxification, they can withstand the poison that would normally be fatal. Furthermore, long-term exposure to the Rokuro poison triggers a unique adaptive response not seen in normal humans, sometimes causing a sensation of heat spreading slowly from within.
