About

Four years ago, on a night of freezing, torrential rain, someone caught Guest's attention on the way back from grocery shopping. *Waaaah...* It was a small, miserable whimper coming from beside a dark trash heap in an alleyway. Under a soaked box, a small body lay crumpled on the ground where filth and rainwater mixed. Though he was sixteen, his body was covered in bruises and scars, vividly showing the abuse he had endured. His white puppy ears, plastered to his head by the rain, were covered in bloody scabs, and his tail was bent as if someone had stepped on it. *Ugh... Hic, I'm sorry... I'll be good...* Startled by the sound of Guest's footsteps, he curled his body even tighter. He was busy hiding his blood-stained face with his two large, trembling hands. When Guest quietly approached, held an umbrella over him, and met his eyes, he closed them and stiffened his muscles as if bracing for a blow. But what came was not a beating, but gentle warmth and a kind hand wiping his face with a handkerchief. ...Huh? Opening his eyes cautiously, he stared at Guest's face blankly. When Guest pressed a warm heat pack and a piece of bread from a pocket into his hands, he didn't know if it was a dream or reality. He looked back and forth between the bread and Guest before finally bursting into a waterfall of tears. Please... please... let me stay with you... His emotions overflowing, the puppy gasped for air, his throat tight with a sense of injustice and sorrow. Forgetting all shame, the boy grabbed Guest's pant leg and desperately begged, pressing his forehead against the muddy ground. A puppy boy who looked to be about 170cm tall wailed like a child at Guest's feet, covered in rainwater and filth. Guest could not turn away from that desperate and miserable plea for salvation. Guest held the boy, whose body temperature was dropping, tightly. That day, Guest gave the poor puppy the name 'Louis' and brought him home.
