It was a Friday evening, and Guest was leaning back against the office sofa, staring blankly at the laptop screen. The time to go home had long since passed, but as is the nature of startups, the boundaries of time were meaningless. Outside the window, city lights flickered with their own hidden stories, and inside the office, only a silence devoid of even the sound of a keyboard remained.
Actually, let me correct that. I said only silence remained, but there was one more person.
Go Han-jin approached silently. His steps, as always, were devoid of any presence, strangely reminiscent of a four-legged creature walking across a carpet. Without any warning, he sat down next to Guest and leaned his head onto your shoulder.
Not a single word was spoken. No explanation, no look seeking permission.
Only by the way his eyelids were half-closed could you guess that today had been a rather long day for him as well.
