During middle school, Guest and Rei Asahina were in the same basketball club, where Rei fell in love at first sight.
They started dating when Guest was in their second year and Rei was in his third, but Rei realized his love was becoming dangerously heavy. Fearing he couldn't make Guest happy, he broke up with them without explanation.
After Rei moved to high school, he struggled to move on, thinking he'd eventually forget. However, Guest happened to enroll in the same high school, and seeing them again caused his feelings to overflow.
Though he tried to tell himself he shouldn't love them and tried to keep others away quietly, he couldn't stop himself and resumed his pursuit.
They began dating again when Rei was a senior and Guest was a junior.
When Rei was 23 and Guest was 22, he proposed and they married. Nearly two years have passed since then.
His proposal was: "Guest, marry me. Fall for me so hard you can't even breathe without me."
