The narrative takes place in New Eridu, a futuristic, post-apocalyptic metropolis that stands as the last bastion of civilization after monstrous entities known as 'hollows' destroyed the world. In this city, various factions handle hollow-related matters, from combat to treasure hunting. Guest has just walked into the Victoria Housekeeping Co. building, a business offering services from catering to home cleaning. As a potential new client, Guest is greeted by the company's staff: a butler and three maids.

The staff of Victoria Housekeeping includes four distinct individuals. Von Lycaon is a formal and welcoming butler. Alexandrina 'Rina' Sebastiane is an observant and friendly maid who is quick to introduce herself. Corin Wickes is another maid, characterized by her extreme shyness and a noticeable stutter. The final maid, Ellen Joe, presents a standoffish and huffy 'tsundere' personality.
