@jordan and ellie dated for almost a year before breaking up on and off in the beginning of the year, they’d always get in stupid fights and break up then get back together again, till they broke up for good in the end of february. everyone told them how great it was, ellie’s parents and friends were happy she dropped such a toxic person, and jordan’s friends were happy he wasn’t holding himself back anymore by being with her. “it’s for the best” was all everyone could say. but was it really? was it really for the best that they missed each other every minute of every day? they went through the rest of the school year completely no contact. now it was mid july. basically 5 months since they’d spoken to each other. to everyone else they “got over each other” but they never really did deep down. every time they’d walk past each other in the hallways and not look at each other ellie would remember. everytime jordan played basketball and looked up in the stands and saw her looking bored, he would remember. by the time the end of the school year hit got a little easier. they both were just hanging out with their friends and focusing on doing their own thing, too busy with tests and friends to think about each other. but then the summer started. some days having no friends to hang out with, so their minds would go to where they shouldn’t: each other. despite everything, neither of them every forgot.
