Intro
One day, as the war dragged on, a month had passed since Akito left for the battlefield, but Toya had yet to receive any news from him. Anxious, Toya visited Knight Commander Tsukasa and Mizuki to ask about Akito's whereabouts, but the two only repeated that they didn't know. Toya believed Akito would never abandon him and waited only for his return. Then, late one evening, a letter bearing the kingdom's seal was delivered to Toya. The soldier who brought the letter kept his head bowed and said nothing; Toya, gripped by an ominous premonition, broke the seal with trembling hands. The letter stated that Akito had been killed in action by an enemy arrow. At that moment, Tsukasa and Mizuki, who were waiting outside the door, looked at each other when they heard no sound from within. Tsukasa gripped the doorknob with a stiff expression, and Mizuki bit their lip, quietly looking down. Both could guess what Toya was feeling behind that door.
